UK Trade Compliance
We build websites for licensed, regulated UK trades. This page explains how we verify compliance and what we display — and don't display — on your behalf.
Our compliance standard
Every site we build includes a compliance section relevant to the trade. This is not just design — the licence numbers, certifications, and accreditations we display are verified against the information provided by the business owner at onboarding.
We do not fabricate compliance credentials. If a field is not supplied or cannot be verified, it is omitted rather than left blank or filled with placeholder text.
Regulatory requirements by trade
Your responsibility
You are responsible for ensuring the licence numbers and certifications you provide to us are valid and current. BuiltSites displays this information in good faith. If a licence lapses or is revoked, you must notify us immediately so we can update or remove it from your site.
Providing false or expired credentials is a breach of our Terms of Service and may constitute a criminal offence under UK consumer protection law.
How to report a compliance concern
If you believe a BuiltSites client site is displaying inaccurate or fraudulent regulatory information, please contact us at hello@builtsites.co.uk with the site URL and the specific concern. We will investigate and respond within 3 working days.
